Jack Canfield shares about his experience on a trip to Thailand. It is a great story that explains that we all are like the golden Buddha he discovered on his trip. You need to understand that you can uncover your true potential by recognizing you are a unique and wonderful person with special skills and talent. You have the ability to solve your problems and grow. You have to believe in yourself.
If you keep on doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep on getting what you’ve always got. In order to get to the next level, you must change some of your habits. Roger Crawford’s remarkable life story proves that optimism and resilience can triumph over personal and professional obstacles. Although physically challenged, he is certified by the US professional Tennis Association and became the first athlete with a severe handicap to complete in a NCAA Division 1 college sport.
You become like the people you hang out with. Everyone you interact with is influencing you, so it is critical that you ask…”Who am I spending time with?” Think about what you really want to happen in your own life. And then look for people who are experiencing that in their life already. Spend more time with quality people, this goes for adults as well as children.
One of the things about living in today’s world of opportunity is that just about everything you want to do has already been done by someone else. It doesn’t matter whether it’s starting a business, losing weight, sailing around the world, or moving to an island, someone else has already done it and left clues. These clues are in books, videos, workshops, and online courses. Who has already done what you want to do? If you want to learn to meditate or visualize your dreams or you’d just would like to learn how to work from home and be an entrepreneur… someone else has done it. Check out more about this in Jack Canfields Success Principle #9, Success Leaves Clues.
Your life is a matter of choice…you have the power to choose to take action. It’s not what people say or do to you….it’s your self-talk that determines how you feel. It’s not about them, it’s about you. You have the power to create the life you have always wanted. Choose to listen to yourself, not others!
This best-selling book, Chicken Soup For the Soul, was declined by 144 publishers….this is the ultimate success story about NEVER GIVING UP! Don’t let negative people run your life. Positive people and positive self-talk can drastically influence your life. Change your self-talk to reach your goals.
High levels of activity, especially pro-activity, increase the number of things that you do and thereby immediately increase the probability that you will do the right thing, at the right time, in the right way. If you want to be more successful, develop a bias for action. Develop a sense of urgency. Take action. Get on with it. Move fast. The faster you move, the more energy you have. The faster you move, the more experience you gain and the better you get. The faster you move, the more results you accomplish and the more successful you will be. Some of the most successful people will tell you that their achievement was fast tracked by learning from someone who had already achieved success in what they wanted to do. It is also true that you become your environment, if you surround with people with low aspirations… who moan and complain all the time, then that is what you will become. People like that are toxic to your own happiness and success. Many successful people will tell you that they found the most benefit by being in a mastermind group of likeminded people they could bounce ideas off and feel inspired by!
Brian Tracy says, the main difference between successful people and failures is that successful people are action orienteers and failures are not. If you take action, only 2 things can happen: You can either SUCCEED or FAIL. Human beings are trial and failure organisms. We try and fail, try and fail, try and fail, try and fail, and then try and succeed. Phil Knight, the President of Nike Shoes, say, “You only have to succeed the last time.” So you’ll find there’s a direct relationship between the number of times you try and how likely it is you are to triumph. So if you hear a good idea today, resolve to give it a try and the faster you try it, the better. Click below to listen to more about what Brian Tracy says about this topic.
There is a logical order to selling. The steps have to be followed in a logical sequence, like dialing a telephone number, or you don’t get through. Ask questions, use effective listening skills, and answer any objections the customer may have and you will soon be on your way to closing the sale. Selling out of sequence kills the sale. You can do all the right things, but if you do them in the wrong order, just like preparing a recipe, you will not be successful. Your ability to sell more, better, faster, and more efficiently than before is the key not only to your personal success as a salesperson, but to the success of your company, as well. Watch this short clip from well renowned Speaker, Author and Consultant on how and why most sales people fail.
